Who we are

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Core dna (“we”) runs www.coredna.com. Our Australian office is at 348 High Street, Prahran VIC 3181. For privacy questions and requests, email info@coredna.com or call +61 3 8563 9163.

We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect, and why

We collect personal information such as your name, address, email address and phone number. We get it when you contact us, fill in a form or use the chat on this website, from your website if you are a client, from public sources, and through the measurement described below.

We use it to provide our services, to answer you, to improve this website and for marketing. You can unsubscribe from our marketing at any time.

We collect sensitive information, such as health information, only with your consent or where the law allows it.

How we measure this website

Our own measurement script shows us how visitors use www.coredna.com, so that we can improve it. It gives your browser a random visitor id and records your visits against that id, not against your name or email address. We do not sell what it records.

It records the pages you view and the page you came from, campaign tags in web addresses, how you use each page (such as scrolling and clicks), whether you start or send a form, page speed and errors, and your browser, device, language and time zone. It never records what you type. We do not link your visitor id to your name, your form entries or your chat messages.

The script sets no cookies. It keeps your visitor id, the current visit and your opt-out choice in your browser's local storage. It does not run if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. The server that receives its data logs your IP address and browser, for security and to fix faults.

Opting out, and back in

To stop our measurement script in this browser: Opt out

To start it again: Opt back in

Opting out works at once, deletes the visitor id stored in this browser and covers only our script in this browser. If you clear this site's data, or your browser does, opt out again. To have your past records deleted, ask us before you opt out (see “Access, correction and deletion”), because we need your visitor id to find them.

Turning Analytics off in Cookie settings also stops our measurement script.

Other services on this site

Other companies' services also run on this site. They use cookies or similar technology under their own privacy policies, and our opt-out does not cover them, but Cookie settings does:

  • Google Tag Manager loads most of these services, and Google Analytics and Google Ads measure visits and ads;
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag measures visits from LinkedIn ads, and LinkedIn can use it to show you our ads;
  • Microsoft Clarity records clicks and scrolling, and can replay visits;
  • Apollo.io identifies the company a visit comes from, by its network address;
  • Ahrefs and Promptwatch measure visits;
  • Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from bots, LeadConnector (HighLevel) receives what you send in them, and Vimeo plays our videos.

To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, use Google's add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. To stop LinkedIn ads based on your visits, change your LinkedIn ad settings.

Visitors in Europe and the UK

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, a banner asks before we use cookies for analytics or marketing. You can accept all, reject all, or choose Analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Ahrefs, Promptwatch) or Marketing (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Apollo.io, HighLevel). Strictly necessary services, such as Google reCAPTCHA on our forms, always run. We keep your choice for up to 6 months. To change it, use “Cookie settings” at the foot of any page.

The chat assistant

The chat window is our own service. It receives your messages, the page you are on and your Google Analytics id, and it uses OpenAI, in the United States, to write answers. We keep the messages to improve the assistant, and delete them when we no longer need them.

Who receives it, and where

We share personal information with the service providers above, and otherwise only with your consent or where the law requires or allows it.

We keep our measurement records and server logs with Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia. OpenAI and the services above can hold personal information in the United States and other countries.

Security, and how long we keep it

We protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we destroy or de-identify it when we no longer need it.

We keep measurement records for 365 days, their backups for 7 nights and server logs for about 15 days. We keep client files for at least 7 years. We keep de-identified data, which cannot be linked to you, for longer, to improve our models and for research.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask for the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email info@coredna.com. Asking is free, but we may charge a fee for a copy, and we may ask you to prove who you are.

Our measurement records do not include your name, so we find yours by your visitor id: none stored in this browser

To get a copy or have them deleted, email us that id: Ask us to delete my data. We reply within 30 days. Once we record your request, we stop collecting data for that id and delete its records within 9 days, including backups. We keep the id itself so that we never collect it again.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or a complaint about privacy, email info@coredna.com or call +61 3 8563 9163 (Australia) or +1 617 274 6660 (United States). We will look into your complaint and reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: www.oaic.gov.au, phone 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We update this page, and the date at the top, when our practices change. We will update it before we change what our measurement script records or how we use it, for example before we use it to change what the site shows you.
